| About the Ride |
| Stunning views of San Francisco and the Bay and an exhilarating boat cruise on the Blue & Gold Fleet ferry highlight this delightful ride. Starting from the Marina Green, the route leads along the waterfront and into the Presidio to the Golden Gate Bridge. Once across the bridge, the route follows surface roads into charming Sausalito. Continuing through Sausalito, you will then follow along a paved bike path that leads past the bay shoreline. More surface roads lead around Strawberry Point to another bike path to Belvedere and then finally to Tiburon. |
| In Tiburon, you can simply reverse the route to return on bicycle, or you can catch the ferry back to the city. The ferry will take you from Tiburon past Angel Island and Alcatraz and will deposit you at Fisherman’s Wharf, from where you will return to the Marina Green along roads once again. |
| The ride is quite flat, except
for some small hills in the Presidio and going over the Golden Gate Bridge
and then another steep, but short climb just before Tiburon. While car
traffic will be encountered on the roads, much of the route follows along
paved multi-use trails.
